You can’t simply stop believing in free will when you want to

You may obviously have a deception that you think is truth and that deception may be that you have free will. Believing is the act of a spirit in conjunction with you as you are as a total creature, not simply ‘a decision’ that you get to make at all. While you can be given ( as in swapped by spirits ) to new lies, those spirits have no power to know truth or to make you know truth.

There is no free will. Even for spirits.

If you are in the deception of free will and you read this blog, you may get the ( false ) impression that what God is saying through me is that you ought to stop believing in free will and start being a Calvinist –as an act of will. The reality is you can’t stop being deceived minus the grace of God. God has put many people into deception that have scorned his truth and verbatim Says So as spirit and life:

2 Thess 2:11,12  And for this reason God sends to them a working of error, that they should believe what is false,  that all might be judged who have not believed the truth, but have found pleasure in unrighteousness.

In addition, God Says the natural man –you, if you have not been non-metaphorically born again– CANNOT know the things of God. One way of understanding that is that the natural man/fallen man can only understand what God sends to him to understand.

1 Corinthians 2:14  But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him; and he cannot know them because they are spiritually discerned;

You are born again simply by hearing the Word of God. That happens to many people and they do not immediately perceive it while others know it.

John 3:5 -8 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except any one be born of water and of Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.  That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not wonder that I said to thee, It is needful that *ye* should be born anew.   The wind blows where it will, and thou hearest its voice, but knowest not whence it comes and where it goes: thus is every one that is born of the Spirit.

So while you can read this blog and perfectly understand the repercussions and evil effects of the mere belief in free will, you should not think at all that I’m writing in non-creating speech or merely saying “as an act of your will, stop doing one thing and start doing another as a kind of new ideal model of thinking/feeling behavior.”

While I will always, as God does it through me, continue to demonstrate to you what is happening as a direct result of being in non-creating speech and the lie of human free will, you must be born again to get out of those consequences and you cannot do that with an act of will. If that frightens you –that’s good as long as that fright is a fear of God.

God Says that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of God ..not the apex of wisdom –the beginning. He also says you will hold that fear as a treasure if you are truly His.

Proverbs 9:10-12  The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; and the knowledge of the Holy is intelligence.   For by me thy days shall be multiplied, and years of life shall be added to thee.   If thou art wise, thou shalt be wise for thyself; and if thou scornest, thou alone shalt bear it.

Isaiah 33:5-6  Jehovah is exalted; for he dwelleth on high: he hath filled Zion with justice and righteousness; and he shall be the stability of thy times, the riches of salvation, wisdom and knowledge: the fear of Jehovah shall be your treasure.

I’m somewhat confused. If you argue that there is no free will isn’t that implicitly arguing for determinism and fatalism? You have to have one or the other, you cant have both and you can have neither. So am I just not getting your arguements?

“You have to have one or the other, you cant have both and you can have neither. ”

..only in a falsely idealized environment in which no new creation is possible

In order to have free will, you need an environment that permits that will to be free.

      Standard Christian doctrine ( not neo-orthodoxy )..

      1. God created the World ..by act of speech. ( Genesis, )
      2. He IS His Word, He is not ‘using’ a common speech he shares with human beings (Gospels, Gospel of John in particular, I John, Pauline epistles )
      3. It is the common experience of human beings that their speech cannot create: no one can wink something into existence simply by calling it, much less by calling unique beings ( each human being and new creature in Jesus Christ) into existence that are maintained in that uniqueness as regards all other souls for eternity..
      4. The presumption that non-creating speech is the sole speech in total reality ( that God does not exist at all, and certainly not as a Word more powerful than human speech ) is the philosophical foundation for the deception of free will: if it were true it would make it seem at least possible that at least part of our overall environment exists which would be will-neutral –the speech itself would never effect the speaker or anyone who heard it..
      5. God is still His Word, still creating new things all the time, one of which is making us new creatures in His Word, Jesus Christ ..the total speech environment does not permit free will becuase God is Speaking at all times and is always His Word and Says He never changes

In Christianity, it is the reality of God being His Word and new creation that does away with the fatalism. There is no free will, God is always in charge, yet God newly creates as-we-live and lives in us –without making us God. We are changed into non-metaphorical new beings in Christ that occupy the same flesh, but are not the flesh. So you start out in life as one creature, and end up in the same flesh as another.

New creation and that change of being and the quality of God being actively involved in our lives does away with fatalism: fatalism is a quality of being in state or an ideology in which nothing can change –no new creation, limited resources, and the supposed unavoidable fight over those limited resources.

Reality is not a case of God being a watchmaker that simply winds up creation and lets it run to its conclusion –as many people who like to think they ‘do’ religion are deceived. They want to say they have free will ( as dogma) and simply define God as they wish and in such a way as to seem to make that seem ..they have free will.

God has predetermined where we are going to end up, and effects our lives to make sure we conform to His will, but that is a life –and a new life– that must be lived and we know that He will always create enough and on time for us, no matter how circumstances may appear. God performs the function that those who are deceived they have free will need to appear to be doing in order to keep thinking they have free will.

Fatalism is simply “things are the way they are and there is nothing we can do about it –so nothing can be done about it at all. No change is possible.” That’s essential worship of human beings as gods. That’s where you appear to be right now –a kind of fatalism of the flesh, that has its appeal to pride here and there as if that were the only way things can be. And that leads immediately to racism and the like because the flesh is the same throughout our lives. It also leads to despair and suicide: anyone who has ever committed suicide was attacked spiritually and their flesh was manipulated; they were made to feel they had free will –but they were just unable to use it properly and make it work out in accordance with all the propaganda about it like ”all those other people did”. They were set on a cycle of proud-to-be-hopeless as a spiritual attack ..while being told there is no real spiritual realm or that they had no soul: the free will made it seem they were personally powerful, but in comparison to all the free will of other people, that free will pales in significance and so brings hopelessness.

If you do not believe in Christ, you will be maintained in ideological walls which force only one end: fatalism –you will only keep thinking fatalism is perfectly logical. In order for you to believe in Christ, He must Speak and you must hear Him. It’s not complicated, but it takes God to do it. God may speak through me or others and you hear Him, but do not confuse us with Christ. If you don’t, God Says you cannot –He does not say “will not”– understand Him and thus not understand what He created ( you, all of reality, etc..)

1Corinthians 2:14-16 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are folly to him; and he cannot know them because they are spiritually discerned; but the spiritual discerns all things, and *he* is discerned of no one. For who has known the mind of the Lord, who shall instruct him? But *we* have the mind of Christ.

1John 4:4-6 *Ye* are of God, children, and have overcome them, because greater is he that is in you than he that is in the world. *They* are of the world; for this reason they speak as of the world, and the world hears them. *We* are of God; he that knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. From this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error.

I am not saying “start being a Calvinist” and “stop being fatalistic” ..because you can’t do that all. You must be an outright other creature to get out of a supposed perfect logic that makes it seem it is impossible that anything else exist but what can be contained in its own parameters and only God can make you that new creature. Being made new creature in Him is His grace on you.

Those who are and will be new creatures has already been decided by God. But we have to live it.

God could have grace on you ..while He just killed a lot of flesh in Haiti with an earthquake for witchcraft –that He gave them. If He does, that will make you special in a way the world will hate: to know that, you would have to know God and you would fear Him –and be glad for His grace.

      maybe way to long, sorry

1John 4:7 Beloved, let us love one another; because love is of God, and every one that loves has been begotten of God, and knows God.

I still dont quite understand, if I dont have free will, how can i change my surroundings of that will? And if it cannot be changed of my will, than is it not unchangeable? Of course, God could change it, so God has free will, but for everyone else, we cannot change the fact that we are put on a course by God, so our fate is set and unchangeable, so everything is determined. As to Jesus Christ, I happen to believe in his existence, just not his being the son of God. Even if I still belived in God, I wouldnt think Jesus was his son. The trinity refers to the father, the son, and the holy spirit but it seems to be more the mind, the hand, and the will. The father is the director, all moves according to his plan. The hand of the father is the son, through Jesus God worked on Earth. The will of the father is the spirit, that non-physical manifestation of the father. The idea of God speaking through someone is a manifestation of his will, the spirit. The trinity is, in many ways a throwback to polytheism, wich i thought, when I believed, was simply a more primitive culuture before Christ attempting to explain all that is God. No mere human mind can comprehend eternity and infinity, hence, the Gods of old.

Out of curiosity, not quite relevant to our discussion, is what do you think of the angels? To me, and this is probably a mark against me, they are more intersting than God, because they seem to have free will, yet they are not part of the trinity.

By the way, while your knowledge of the Bible is impressive, taking that as Gods word makes no sense. As you say, and as I agree, God’s speech is beyond mortals, so the Bible is, at best, a rough translation of something incomprehensible. Further, it isnt orignal in its format, and coruption over time would have been inevitable. How do we know that the Bible isn’t completly diffrent now?

Time does make a mockery of us all.

You can’t. That’s part of why the will is not free.

and the surroundings are more than you know.

Don’t confuse real Christianity with the pop Christianity of ‘make a decision for Jesus’ which is neo-orthodoxy. God never asked you to ‘make a decision’ or ‘do’ something in order to ‘be a Christian’. He changes you into another being in Christ by force without your will and you see what was always going on.

John 1:12,13 but as many as received him, to them gave he the right to be children of God, to those that believe on his name; who have been born, not of blood, nor of flesh’s will, nor of man’s will, but of God.

It is the reality of God actively involved on which Christianity turns. God as a supposed abstract that is ‘there’ but ‘never interferes’ with you is not Christianity.

God does what is necessary to both save you and cause you to understand what you were saved from. All you do is receive Him as grace and He works in you to do His will.

Php 2:12,13 So that, my beloved, even as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much rather in my absence,

work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you both the willing and the working according to his good pleasure.
