The Battle Over Prayer

Russian Version Spanish Version

Why would you prayer partner with someone who doesn’t believe God has to send prayers? You are simply supposed to agree to whatever they say as prayer in whatever speech it happens to come out in? Religionist solidarity? That is a very great part of why participation at prayer meetings have declined: lying prayers spoken in public as if they were granted automatic group support and no discipline on those who were used of Satan to pray them among a truly  Christian people.

Lying prayers?

“Lord, please give us unity in all religions and a bureaucracy to enforce it.”

“Lord, please let us be nice all the time.”

“Lord, please forgive us for robbing the polar bears of their ice/ the newt from their river/ the woodpecker from his tree.”

“Lord, we thank you for our free will and the privilege of using it.”

‘Lord, please let homosexuals be happy and accepted and forgive us for hating them.”

“Lord, please give the Palestinians their home/ Islamics their Caliphate/ abortionists their goals/ whatever the newest ideological widget is that I am ‘for’.”

Jesus Christ put those who are unbelievers out before He healed:

Matthew 9:23-26  And when Jesus was come to the house of the ruler, and saw the flute-players and the crowd making a tumult,  he said, Withdraw, for the damsel is not dead, but sleeps. And they derided him.  But when the crowd had been put out, he went in and took her hand; and the damsel rose up. And the fame of it went out into all that land.

Matthew 7:6-8  Give not that which is holy to the dogs, nor cast your pearls before the swine, lest they trample them with their feet, and turning round rend you.  Ask, and it shall be given to you. Seek, and ye shall find. Knock, and it shall be opened to you.  For every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen
